At Handi Quilter we are all about finishing quilts. We provide inspiration, education and equip you to finish more quilts.
Personally, I’d like to urge you to get to it. Don’t put it off. Make the time and enjoy the process. Don’t think you don’t have enough skill. Do what you can now, and you will get better over time. But just do it!
These are some of my Dad’s ties. I saved them after he passed away in 2004. I planned to make three Dresden plate blocks. One for my brother, one for my sister, and one for me. Something like this one:

Every so often I would think about the project and sometimes even pull out the ties and try to figure out how to do it. But life always got in the way and I never even got started. And now it’s too late to make three. My brother passed away this week. He would have loved it too.
I have to go now, I have two small quilts to make.
What are you waiting for?
Truer words were never spoken – “Do it now, don’t wait for the right day”. I too have the bad habit of waiting too long to quilt a top or make a quilt for someone that was special. Thanks for the reminder.
You are SO RIGHT…..Now I just have to quit reading and start sewing! HA!
