Jane Hauprich

Jane began piecing quilts in 2000. It wasn’t until 2009, when she discovered longarm quilting, that free motion quilting became her passion. In 2009, she purchased a HQ Sweet Sixteen® and within a couple of years upgraded to a HQ Avanté®, to start her own longarm business. She now has a HQ Amara® w/Pro-Stitcher® and a HQ Capri®. She enjoys using both stationary and movable longarms!

Jane is a self-taught longarm quilter who specializes in custom free motion quilting. She is an award-winning quilter who loves to share her knowledge of quilting with others. She enjoys teaching as a Handi Quilter educator and at quilt shops and national quilt shows and guilds.

Jane continues to quilt for hire by utilizing her free motion skills along with her Pro-Stitcher.

Jane’s philosophy is that no matter what type of machine one uses (domestic, short-arm or longarm), anyone can learn to free motion quilt. Her goal when teaching is to equip students with as much information and knowledge as possible, to enable them to be successful quilters.

Jane resides on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
