In April of this year I wrote about Handi Quilter’s quality control and the yards and yards of quilted fabric that is produced in our “sew-off” process; and the groups that use that fabric to create quilts for those in need of comfort. You can read that post here.

I thought you might like to see some of the recent quilts. These were made by The Piecemaker Quilters of St.Philip Presbyterian Church, Houston, TX for the children attending Search’s House of Tiny Treasures, a pre-school for homeless children.

Aren’t they just adorable? Great job ladies!

  1. Yes,we really appreciate the sew offs and love creating appliqués for them. Of the 100 we delivered to House of Tiny Treasures this year, 43 were from HandiQuilter sew-offs. Thank you so so much.
With much appreciation,Hope Wilmarth, founder and leader of the St Philip Stitchers (we had to rename ourselves as we got confused with another group in the church called the Peacemakers.)

  2. The Huntsville TX Tall Pines Quilt Guild Charity Bee received a box of this sew off material earlier in the year and the ladies really enjoyed decorating these quilts. We gave several throughout the year to our local Pregnancy Care Center, and the rest of our “HUG”s will be delivered this Wednesday. Hoping to receive another box soon! We really appreciate this program that lets us get the quilts done fast, and they are super cute!
