Quilters are often left with the open-ended phrase ‘quilt as desired’ as the final step in a quilting pattern. How do YOU quilt your desire?

We asked the Handi Quilter community to tell us in video form how they interpreted ‘quilt as desired’, and the response was incredible. Quilters from all over answered our call for entries, sharing their stories, creative spaces and personal experience about how they quilt their desire. Of these submissions, twelve (actually, thirteen) quilters were selected to participate in an educational retreat at Handi Quilter headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our Quilt Your Desire Retreaters travelled from as far away as Ontario, to learn more about their HQ longarms and gain one-on-one training from the HQ Studio Educators. They also went on shop hops, photoshoots, and elaborated on their initial video entry in a professional filming session.

Learn more about this special group, aptly named the Quilt Your Desire Inspiration Squad. We’ll be updating each quilter’s story with interviews and video updates. You’ll be seeing them in your favorite quilting magazines throughout the year, and can follow their creative journeys here and on social media.
